Director Sargunam’s Patathu Arasan is a family drama set in a remote village and kabbadi forms the back drop.

Poththari (Rajkiran) had been a kabbadi champ. s a veteran Kabaddi player and the He is old but still strong to teach the game. Following an unfortunate incident involving the death of one of Poththari’s sons Kanniyan (RK Suresh), the family is broken into two. Kanniyan’s wife (Radhika) and her son Chinna Durai (Atharvaa) sunder from the family and live alone. Now, we enter the familiar territory of the estranged grandson wanting to reunite the family. A shocking incident leads to a tough challenge.
Atharva is bubbly and plays his part well. Ashika Ranganath us a welcome addition to the lust of heroines in Tamil cinema. Radhika and Jaya prakash are good. But the scene-stealer js Rajkiran,. Heist excellent all through the film. Ghibran’s music adds strength for Pattathu Arasan.
