Vinayaka (Charlie) son Paraman (Linga) and daughter Kanmani (Gayatri). Paraman’s wife Prema (Aparnithi) and Kanmani’s husband Murali (Vivek Prasanna). Paraman, Kanmani’s need for money increases. They asked father Ganesha to sell the house and give them money. He refuses. Ganesha says he is going to a complex and leaves. That complex is collapsing. Many die in the rubble. The government has announced a compensation of Rs 20 lakh to those who died. Paraman and Kanmani decide to share the money. Both of them are shocked when Ganesha suddenly comes alive. But soon Ganesha dies a natural death. Then Paraman comes up with a new idea. Accordingly, the family tries to get compensation from the government by dumping the father’s body in the ruins of the complex. The film tells us what happens next in a lively and tick-tick manner.

Casting Charlie for this role is a major strength of the film. Linga realistically portrays disability, affection and debt woes. Aparnathy and Gayathri have given a very complete performance in their roles.

Vivek Prasanna’s antics as Gayatri’s husband are an added strength to the film.

Tanam as Charlie’s sister, Deena as Charlie’s other son, Mayilsamy’s characters who appear only in one scene are all very special.

Music by music composer Shakti Balaji is also a strong side to the film. Cinematography by cinematographer Madan Christopher helps in capturing the happenings inside the small house.

Director Karthik Srinivasan has very sensitively told how economic problems in a middle-class family destroy relationships.

All in all you can enjoy the movie with your family.
