Super Singer Tanushri and Tej – The cherubic darlings from the family of ‘Kadaikutty Singam’

These children from the family of Kadaikutty Singam aren’t new to us. They have won the hearts of World Tamilians, especially the Super Singer Tanushri with her innocuous chirpiness. She has evidently become the most-loved girl child of every home and not to miss her vigorously enthusiastic brother Tej. Having amused us with their childlike and lively nature, they are here to enthrall us with their presence in ‘Big Screens’ for the first time. Yes, they will be playing the cute little ones in Karthi starrer Kadaikutty Singam. The film’s theatrical release is scheduled on July 13 and everyone looks so much encompassed with decent expectations over this family entertainer, directed by Pandiraj.

Having turned the spotlights upon her in Super Singer, which indeed was a ‘Big family’, it would have been a big curiosity to know how could she manage this ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ family. Ask her and she beautifully says, “It was never like a shooting for everyone treated us lovingly. Sathyaraj uncle, Karthi Mama, Sayyeshaa and Priya aunty and all the 37 members treated us their own kids in family.”

When asked if she did sing some of her favourite numbers at the shooting spot, she comes up putting up professional-like mask (This kindles an instant fun with her professional attitude) and says, “Yes, I did sing some tracks. But acting was my first focus on the sets. We would shoot till night and wake up early in the morning.”

Ask her who was more mischief on the sets – She or her brother? She doesn’t prefer a pause and says, “It is my brother. I would remain always calm on the sets, but he keeps pulling my legs often.”

Well, she doesn’t miss to mention that music director D Imman who even tested her voice and promised her to sing a track for one of his upcoming albums. But she isn’t disappointed for not getting an offer here and even impresses with her highly-energetic rendition of ‘Vaa Jikki’ that is sung by D Imman in album.

Despites being too young and completely new for such formal interactions, the brother-sister duo doesn’t miss to thank Suriya Uncle and Pandiraj uncle for treating them so affectionately.
