This is an American 3D computer-animated comedy that is sweet and funny with a lot of stunningly strong visuals backed by a witty script and an appropriate voice cast. The film champions the cause of pet animals that are at times taken for granted by human beings who sometimes inflict harm on those pet creations of God! What if a few of those pets join together to teach the humans a fitting lesson?
Owned by Kattie (Ellie Kemper), Max (Louis C.K.) is a spoiled terrier living inside the confines of a Manhattan apartment building enjoying a comfortable life by hanging out with other pets as Chloe (Lake Bell), Mel (Bobby Moynihan), Buddy (Hannibal Buress) etc until Kattie adopts a giant and unruly canine named Duke (Eric Stone Street). During their walk outside, they encounter a group of ferocious alley cats headed by Ozone (Steve Coogan) and wind up in a truck that's bound for the pound. Luckily, a rebellious rabbit named Snowball (Kevin Hart) swoops in to save the doggy duo from captivity. In exchange, Snowball demands that Max and Duke join his gang of abandoned pets on a mission against the humans who've done them wrong.
The game begins as all of them go through several challenging situations. Finally, after some moments of thrills and chills, all the pets go back to the apartment block. Snowball and the other Pets leave Max and Duke to lead their own lives and move on! Max and Duke finally reunite with Katie, sparking a new friendship!
