Director Ranjith has been roped in to direct Rajinikanth in his yet-untitled next Tamil project, according to industry sources.
Ranjith’s project with Rajinikanth is finalized. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The rest of the cast will be finalized soon.
Two-film-old Ranjith’s last outing was the critically-acclaimed Tamil thriller Madras.
Apparently, Rajini was supposed to team up with filmmaker Shankar for Enthiran 2. But the source added that the project is pushed to next year.

Rajinikanth might also do a movie with Raghava Lawrence. The superstar is apparenly mighty impressed with the director’s latest movie Kanchana 2 and has given nod to a story narrated by Lawrence.
