Prashant Neel, who directed KGF, will next make Salaar with Baahubali hero Prabhas. Salar is another example of what a great director, a great hero, a great film company can create.
Prabhas and Prithviraj's childhood friendship blossoms into a friendship that captures an empire. If you look at the story of the film, Kansar is a separate country that is not on the world map. Its ruler Rajamannar (Jagapathi Babu) decides that Varadarajamannar (Prithvi Raj) is the right person to ascend the throne after him. The accompanying ministers do not accept it and raise an army with foreign help. Only Varadarajan does not raise an army and brings his childhood friend Salar (Prabhas). The climax gives a blood-curdling response to how a single warrior, Salar, defeats an overwhelming force.
Prabhas has no fancy costume, no flamboyant dance, no romance, no girlfriend but he is a complete action avatar to make you stare at his character throughout the film.
In the very first scene where he gives a current shock to Bailwan at a young age, the director gives a sense of the courage of Prabhas's character with threats.
When Prabhas gets angry seeing Shruti Haasan being dragged away by the rowdy crowd, Prabhas snaps his fingers but stops his anger because of his oath to Iswari Rao, and Mother Ishwari says, "I retract your oath, save her." Whistles fly through the arena
Prabhas, who single-handedly faces a huge army for Prithviraj, floats in a pool of blood.
If you think about the film with your eyes closed, only the action scenes are repetitive. Ishwari Rao for the mother sentiment and Prithvi Raj for the friendship sentiment, the director has kept the villain crowd unaccounted for.
Only director Prashant Neel can think that there is such a town, where there is such an ethnic conflict, that a pan India film can be made out of it. He has proved once again that he is a specialist in it.
Music composer Ravi Basur adds thunderous music to even the slightest movement of the main characters.
Cinematographer Pawan Gowda takes the audience to another world. Director Prashant Neel gives the lead for the second part of the film at the end of the first part. Kansar is preparing the fans for the next action field by giving the hint for the 2nd part as Prabhastan, the heir to the position of lord.
Shruti Haasan doesn't have much chance to act, only the number of films will increase for her.
Salaar – Prabhas' grand action movie.
