Humans are peculiar beings. Everyone has secrets. In the secret chambers of each person's heart, they hold secrets known only to them. What is apparent and what is hidden can be known only when looked deeper.
This difference exists among parents and children, and between husband and wife. Understanding someone is not that easy. With this concept at its core, the story of the movie 'Ring Ring' has been crafted.
The story revolves around four friends and their respective partners: Vivek Prasanna - Swayam Siddha, Daniel Annie Pope - Jamuna, Praveen Raja - Sakshi Agarwal, Arjunan - Sahana. These pairs are the characters in the film.
The four friends are in a smooth relationship and live their lives always joking and laughing. A game begins in this lively circle during a birthday meeting, which starts as fun but turns challenging and disastrous, eventually becoming a war. What kind of game is this? The husband and wife must put the incoming call on speaker for everyone to hear. Likewise, the wife should do the same. In such circumstances, the personal emotions and the fake facades of each individual get exposed due to the calls they receive. As this continues, storms brew in the lives of the four couples. Conflicts, suspicions, betrayals, and insults arise, creating cracks among them.
At some point, they decide to stop the game. What the climax of the story is forms the crux of 'Ring Ring'.
All four couples begin to suspect one another. They reassess their friendship and, in the end, understand that justifications of each situation are the nature of human life’s operations. They start forgiving and forgetting faults, considering that they just spoke their minds. They search for reasons. As a result, each individual’s life moves toward peace, marking the film's conclusion.
The film suggests through its characters that hiding secrets for the happiness of loved ones is not wrong.
In the film, Vivek Prasanna plays the role of Thiagu, Sakshi Agarwal as Pooja, Daniel as Kadir, Praveen Raja as Siva, Arjunan as Arjun, Swayam Siddha as Suya, Sahana as Indhu, and Jamuna as Jamuna. As the portrayal of characters is accurate, everyone shines in their performances.
