"Under the banner of Shark 9 Pictures, the film Pogumidam Vegu Dooramillai has been produced by Siva Killari and written and directed by debut director Michael K. Raja. In this film, Vimal is joined by Karunas, Mary Ricketts, Adukalam Naren, Manoj Kumar, Bhavan, Aruldoss, Deepa Shankar, Charles Vinoth, and Vel Ramamoorthy in pivotal roles. The film's cinematography is by Demil Xavier, and the music is composed by N.R. Raghunandan. The debut director is Michael K. Raja."

"A prominent leader of a well-known family from Tirunelveli dies in an accident in Chennai. Since he had two wives, there were always conflicts within the family. His death reignites the tension in the family, leading to disputes over who will take control. In this situation, Kumar (played by Vimal), a driver, is tasked with transporting the body of the prominent leader from Chennai to Tirunelveli in a hearse. Kumar is in desperate need of money for his wife’s delivery expenses, as she has been admitted to the hospital, so he urgently agrees to take on the task. During the journey, the hearse is intercepted." "Nalinamoorthy (Karunas), a street theater artist, also boards the hearse. Later, a runaway couple also joins the ride, fleeing from their relatives who chase them down and block the way, resulting in a fight. During the scuffle, the prominent leader’s body goes missing, leaving Kumar in shock and confusion about what to do next. The family members of the deceased, speaking to Kumar over the phone, pressure him to bring the body back immediately. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Nalinamoorthy offers to help Kumar. Together, they decide to find an unclaimed corpse to replace the missing one. However, that plan also fails. How did they manage to handle the prominent leader's family? Who stole the body? Who plotted against the two families? What help did Nalinamoorthy eventually provide Kumar? And what shocking event does Kumar encounter? These questions form the rest of the story."

"Vimal has lived in the character of Kumar, the hearse driver, with remarkable depth. He portrays the grief of losing two children, the burden of his wife’s delivery expenses, the pressure from the family of the deceased, and the moments when he fights for the runaway couple, showcasing exceptional acting skills.

Karunas, as Nalinamoorthy, a street theater artist, delivers a heartfelt performance. His decision not to marry due to his deep attachment to his mother, his contemplation of suicide after her death, and his struggles with unemployment due to the decline of street theater all reflect his mental anguish. The emotions he conveys during moments of inner turmoil deeply resonate with the audience. His sudden decision to help Vimal solves a major crisis, and his sacrifice moves everyone to tears. In the end, his connection to the death of Karna in the street play makes his character stand out in a unique way. Brilliant!"

This reflects a powerful and emotionally charged performance by the actors.

"Alongside Vimal, Mary Ricketts as his wife, Aadukalam Naren, Manoj Kumar, Bhavan, Aruldoss, Deepa Shankar, Charles Vinoth, and Vel Ramamoorthy have all delivered outstanding performances, fully understanding and embodying their respective characters.

Music composer N.R. Raghunandan and cinematographer Demil Xavier have been the strengths of the film, supporting both the director and the story.

The plot begins with the transportation of the body of a prominent man who died in an accident, from Chennai to his hometown, and revolves around the lives of two individuals, their problems, challenges, and the familial conflicts that arise as everyone fights to achieve their desires. Director Michael K. Raja has successfully maintained a gripping narrative without letting the tension slip at any point."
