Sunil and Vaibhav are the sons of a respected man named Perusu in the village. One day, after bathing in the river and watching TV, Perusu suddenly dies. However, there is a problem that prevents displaying his body to others. The family must handle the situation without revealing the body, leading to the comedic story of ‘Perusu’ as they navigate this issue and conduct the final rites.Vaibhav, playing a character always under the influence of alcohol, handles his role naturally but sometimes acts artificially.Sunil, who plays the elder son of the family and takes on many responsibilities, acts in a way that does justice to the character.
Shanthi, who plays Sunil's wife, performs her role impeccably, while Niharika, who plays Vaibhav's wife, acts artificially like a stage actress. The scenes featuring Bala Saravanan and Munishkanth are comedic. The appearances of Redin Kingsley and VTV Ganesh cause the audience to laugh. Many actors, including Thanam, Deepa, Gajaraj, Swaminathan, and Karunakaran, feature in this film.
Although Arun Raj's music compositions do not carry much drama, he cleverly expresses comedic elements to the audience through the background score.Even though the story takes place within a single house, cinematographer Sathya Thilagam brings the scenes to life with his varied camera angles.Balaji’s dialogues, reminiscent of Crazy Mohan, incorporate some non-comedic lines in areas.
Written and directed by Ilango Ram, he handles a troublesome issue without any tension and does so entirely in a comedic manner. Although the film travels in a direction of some humor and a bit of bitterness, in many parts it makes you laugh out loud.
Overall, ‘Perusu’ will make you laugh.
