Synopsis:
In the region of Thiruvannamalai, two subgroups from the same community coexist in a divided manner, labeling one as the "upper caste" and the other as the "lower caste." This division often leads to frequent clashes. In search of livelihood, members of both groups find work at a juice factory in Bengaluru. Amidst this backdrop, Hari and Sangeetha, belonging to the two factions, fall in love. Despite Sangeetha's determined love, Hari hesitates to accept her feelings. Meanwhile, a significant event unfolds at their workplace in Bengaluru, setting the stage for a series of impactful events, culminating in the thought-provoking conclusion of Parari.

Unlike typical stories that focus on caste-based conflicts, Parari delves into the nuances of discord between subgroups within the same caste.

Filmed in the slum areas of Thiruvannamalai, the movie captures the essence of the lives of its inhabitants. Hari, the protagonist, portrays a young man from the slums, whose civilized demeanor and realistic dialogues add depth to the narrative. The tension escalates with the constant fear of clashes between the two groups. Hari's reluctance to embrace Sangeetha's love, juxtaposed with her persistent efforts, creates an emotionally charged atmosphere. The story takes a dramatic turn with a conflict between Tamil and Kannada workers at the mango juice factory in Bengaluru. Ezhil, playing the antagonist, embodies a staunch Kannada nationalist, intensifying the drama.

The film also highlights the contentious Cauvery water dispute, presenting it as a corporate political ploy rather than a people's issue. This narrative angle serves as a fresh perspective and a call for collective resistance.

Direction & Presentation:
Known for his politically charged films, Raju Murugan backs this project, with his protégé Ezhil Periyavedi delivering a powerful critique of socio-political struggles.

Technical Merits:
Sean Roldan's music and Sridhar's cinematography enhance the film's impact.
