"Not everyone has a bright background. Even the green memories of some are not green." - This sentiment forms the foundation of 'Naangal' (We), a soul-stirring cinematic experience from debut director Avinash Prakash.

An estate house nestled in the forests of Ooty—a magical world where three people live without electricity or water. Outwardly happy, but inwardly filled with longing, pain, and eyes searching for affection. The lives of three boys bending under the control of a strict father, and the struggle of that father trapped in his own mental anguish, form the heart of this film.

Abdul Rafee, in his role as 'Rajkumar,' brilliantly portrays a complex, unresolved man's mental pressure and the suffering it causes his family. The young actors Mithun, Rithik Mohan, and Nithin D consistently convey nuanced emotions with precision. Prarthana Srikanth depicts a mother's quiet pain without exaggeration. Even the dog 'Roxie's genuine emotional contribution appears significant.

Vedh Shankar Sugavanam's music flows like the film's lifeblood. As both cinematographer and director, Avinash Prakash transforms each frame into an emotional language through colors—sadness in black & white, happiness in vibrant colors.

'Naangal' is a creation that honestly and emotionally tells the story of complex family relationships, particularly the pain of father-son bonds. This film, which gives voice to the marginalized, doesn't just tell a family story—it questions society itself.

This endeavor, spreading new thought in the film world, will touch your heart as well.
