Mur Mur

A group of four people goes to the Javvadu Hills to shoot a short film for YouTube. There is talk that a ghost named Mangai exists in that area and that the seven Saptha Kanni will come to bathe in the pond there on a full moon day. These YouTubers go to capture it directly. In the forest, they are shocked to encounter unexpected supernatural beings. Some suddenly disappear. The film Mur Mur thrillingly answers the questions of whether they managed to see the ghost Mangai or if they saw the Saptha Kanni in person.

This film was shot in the Javvadu Hills area. It is said to have been made based on a real incident.

Instead of in a cinematic style, the scenes are captured just like how they would shoot it on YouTube with a camera on hand.

Richie Kapoor, Devaraj Arumugam, Sukanya Shanmugam, and Arya Selvaraj are the four people who go into the forest to film the ghost and the maidens. Yuvika accompanies them to guide them.

One might expect scenes to move rapidly, but instead, they camp at a place in the forest, put the camera down, and keep talking, talking, and talking. They quarrel, drink water, and quarrel again, and the scenes proceed like this. The conversation among themselves also goes along.

As the grumblings start in the theater about how long they will keep doing this, they slowly change places and move to a different location to camp. In the quietness without background music, the rustling leaves and some crackling sounds turn the auditorium into a cemetery silence.

Suddenly, the sound of a tree branch snapping, and the sound of someone walking on dry leaves lightly scares the audience, causing shivers, courtesy of the sound designer.

Jason Williams' camera makes you feel dizzy in some of the scenes at first.

Will the ghost come? Will the maiden come? Director Hemnath Narayanan provides spine-chilling answers to these questions in the climax. The sporadically occurring bad word controversies create a stir.
