Morgan

Cast: Vijay Antony, Deepsika, Samuthirakani, Brigadier, Ajay Dhishan, Prithika Kanimozhi and others  Music: Vijay Antony Direction: Leo John Paul

The film begins with someone murdering a woman and dumping her body in a garbage bin. The body is found completely charred. This murder creates a sensation across India. When Vijay Antony learns about this murder, he immediately says "I will solve this murder." When the police tell him "This murder happened in Chennai, what does it matter to you who are in Delhi?", he still says "I will definitely solve this case myself" and comes to Chennai. The rest of the story is about whether he finds out who committed this murder.

Editor Leo John Paul has transformed into a director through this film. The first film is very important, but none of the things we expected are there, nor are there the stars needed for the story.    Vijay Antony's film 'Morgan' starts as a thriller and begins to proceed well on that path. However, there are many loopholes in the film. The screenplay is not as gripping as expected — it becomes just an ordinary thriller film. The director has not brought any new attempt or new technique.

This is only the first half of the film — let's see how the second half turns out.

Even after the interval, Morgan has no novelty or interest. The scenes we've already seen, the expected screenplays are not there. The suspense required for a thriller film is not in the movie. Who the culprit is becomes clear 20 minutes before the climax scene. There are no interesting elements. Morgan is not a film that lives up to expectations.    The film has one consolation - the background music, and similarly Vijay Antony's acting. Mahanadi Shankar, who travels with him, has given value to his character.
