Manidharagal - A Different Experience
The story of "Manidharagal " unfolds as an incident that takes place in one night in the Dindigul region. This is not just a story but a mirror that reflects everyone's emotions.
Six friends are drinking alcohol at night when suddenly a conflict arises between them. In this conflict, one person unexpectedly dies, shocking the others. They decide to bury the body secretly and escape from the problem. The psychological struggle within each person and its consequences are realistically portrayed on screen.
There is no hero in this film - importance is given only to the characters. In this regard, the lead characters played by Kabil Velavan, Daksha, Arjun Dev Saravanan, Gunavanthan, and Sambasivam express different emotions in various ways, allowing us to internally realize which type we belong to.
Since they are all new faces, they have acted realistically and sometimes in an overdose manner, making it impossible to predict that this is their particular style.
Though emotions like tension, fear, courage, and disappointment construct the scenes, sudden screams dilute the impact of the scenes. The dialogues and songs need to be observed carefully. The film's biggest highlight is the cinematographer's skilled personality. Since it's a story that takes place at night, he fills the entire hall with an appropriate atmosphere. The key scenes shot in car headlight illumination are commendable. If this had been a Hollywood film, some of our directors like Mysskin would have celebrated it by carrying it on their heads. Nevertheless, cinematographer Ajay Abraham George hasn't failed to attract attention.
Music director Anilesh L. Mathew is excellent.
Though there are elements suitable for commercial films, the budget demon has tied the hands and camera to prevent them from becoming grandiose. Still, Ram Indira has directed "Manidharagal 
" as a film that stands ahead in the line of award-winning films.
