Gulu Gulu - Review
Santhanam all the way
Rarely we see actors experiment with roles on screen. Santhanam father's guts to do it. His Gulu Gulu is a different attempt on big screen. A film that speaks various issues interestingly.
Santhanam plays Google (Gulu Bhai), a kind-hearted man who is always game to help people.
A gang of young friends seek his help to get his friend back from kidnappers (Sri Lankan Tamils) & a pair of crazy brothers who are after their step sister. What happens when Gulu Gulu steps in forms the crux.
Directed by Rathna Kumar, who has previously directed Meyaadha Maan and Aadai, Gulu Gulu also stars George Maryan, Dheena, Namita Krishnamurthy, Athulya Chandra, along with a host of newbies. Santhanam does a super show. He manages to strike a chord when he talks about the importance of languages, race and civilization. Santosh Narayanan's background score compliments the theme well.
Rathnakumar does a good job.
