"The mass hero Vijay, Prabhu Deva, and Prashanth Ajmal are all part of a counter-terrorism squad called SATS. However, we must believe that even their families are unaware of the shocking work they do!When a son or daughter is involved, these innocent-hearted individuals, who shed tears while joking and laughing, are the ones who are trusted by the Anti-Terrorist Squad to carry out operations. This is the first challenge that leaves us in disbelief, as these amateur drinkers struggle with hangovers from the very first day!" "When heading to Bangkok for such a dangerous operation, Vijay takes his pregnant wife Sneha and their five-year-old son along, convincing them it's a family tour. While he assures them that there’s no guarantee of safety, it’s evident that he lacks even the basic sense that there’s not even a minimum guarantee for the safety of his family."

You might wonder if someone would take their pregnant wife and five-year-old child on a family tour to Bangkok and Pattaya. Remember that this is a family scene from Venkatesh Prabhu’s film, and those are references from the VCU (Venkatesh Prabhu Cinema Universe). In this context, Vijay leaves his five-year-old son alone in an unattended car, saying, “Stay right here… I’ll be back soon… Don’t go anywhere!” In the previous scene, Sneha was already panicking, saying, “I can't handle anything happening to my son!”

In the next scene, it becomes clear even to the fetus in Sneha’s womb that the child won’t be there. The ferocious tiger… sorry, the Surappuli didn’t know this. When the child is found lying on the ground in the next scene, crying and wailing, we feel no sympathy or anxiety towards him, despite Vijay’s excellent performance. At night, Vijay goes out after a drink and in the early morning, he wakes up, puts on a cap for himself and his son, and, while dancing, sings the song “Marudhamalai Mamaney Murugaiya…” This absurd scene is so comical that it surpasses imagination.

Due to the aforementioned paternal grief, years roll by without Vijay and Sneha speaking to each other. As they age, Vijay, now older, goes to Russia for work. There, he encounters a young man in his shadow (we don’t need to mention that he is another AI Vijay, right?). It’s clear from his face that this young man is his son… The hairdresser who styled their hair into a shape reminiscent of a coconut shell with a pointy top and a scoop might be the only thing left in their hands.

In reality, the touching scene in the film is the one where both of them meet. Vijay’s performance, though brilliant, was overshadowed by the hair matter, preventing us from fully appreciating the scene. Without any suspense, the young (Thalapathy) Vijay is revealed as the villain by V.P. before the interval. This revelation not only brings the story to a close but also concludes the film’s plot. The fact that Vijay’s son is the villain, and naming him Sanjay, seems like an odd choice… His other name is Jeevan.

Since the story is completely lost after the interval, V.P. is turning various characters into villains. We are even worried that Sneha might suddenly become a villain too. Do you know who the international core villain, who is plotting to turn the young Thalapathy into a villain, is? It's none other than our own 'Mike' Mohan. Sounds amusing to hear, doesn’t it? Watch the film to see how it plays out – you might find it even funnier.

When Vijay asks for permission to return to the Squad, the official takes a moment to think. Vijay then asks, "Are you considering that I might be too old?" The official is Y.G. Mahendra – he might be 70 himself. The fact that we won’t question whether someone like him should be in the Squad while Vijay is around is exactly what V.P. has anticipated when crafting this scene.

V.P. has apparently been so focused on providing roles for his trusted brother Premji and the Chennai 28 team that he might have neglected the screenplay to some extent. The film recalls more than ten Tamil movies that come to mind. Yuvan, to the best of his ability, sings with dedication. However, the IPL cricket stadium and its sound effects during the climax somewhat diminish his efforts.

Vijay’s dance performances, despite the shortcomings in the music, are enjoyable.

Vijay’s remarkable acting, his dance performances, and the action sequences are the main sources of solace in the film. These elements largely compensate for the film’s shortcomings.

In a three-hour film that drags on without a clear goal, if you manage to doze off for 20 minutes, either because of the film or on your own, you can still enjoy the movie as a subplot.
