Devi Sri Prasad to score music for Saamy 2
Thameens Films, which produced films like Iru Mugan and Puli, is gearing up to produce one of Tamil cinema’s most eagerly awaited films, Chiyaan Vikram’s Saamy 2, which is being directed by Hari.
Trisha and Keerthy Suresh have been signed up by the unit to play the female leads in this film.Work on the project is to begin this July.
Adding to the excitement , one of the leading music directors of the Tamil and Telugu film industries, Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad, has been signed up by the team to score music for this prestigious project.
This will be the fifth time that Devi Sri Prasad will be joining hands with director Hari. The earlier outings of this super hit duo include the blockbusters SINGAM 1 and SINGAM 2 , the songs of which were instant chartbusters and continue to enthrall audiences even today.
Similarly, Devi Sri Prasad, who is popularly known as DSP, has also worked with Chiyaan Vikram earlier for the movie Kandasamy. The numbers for this film were a rage with songs like En Peru Meenakumari and Excuse Me Mr.Kandasaamy topping the charts.
Now, DSP will be working with Hari and Vikram in Saamy 2. DSP, who has been busy with Telugu projects has been churning out super hit after superhit for movies like Chiranjeevi’s KHAIDI No150 , Junior NTR- Mohanlal’s JANATHA GARAGE, Mahesh Babu’s SRIMANTHUDU to name a few.
Apart from being a music director, DSP is also a lyricist, a singer and a stage performer which is why he’s fondly called as ROCKSTAR by his fans. This scenario has led many to expect some foot tapping numbers from this film and it is strongly believed that the music of this film is bound to raise the expectations from this film even higher. That apart, DSP’s unique way of presenting his numbers and showcasing them is bound to add strength to the film.
Director Hari is known for making films with thrilling screenplays that are full of swift developments. With these people coming together, one can safely say now itself that all the songs in this film will be super hits.
