The story moves in Arakkonam area. There is a conflict between youths from two neighboring villages. The reason is cricket.
Following a clash between two village youths while playing cricket a few years ago, the police said that the two teams should not clash again.
However, the enmity between the two teams remains the same. Ashok Selvan is the captain of the Bluestar team and Shantanu is the captain of the Alpha team. If it had been left as it was, the entire game and the issues within it would have gone. But, the whole outlook changes when the two batting teams, one from the town and the other from the slum. At this point the two villagers talk and decide to play cricket for both the teams in the festival. Chantanu makes the club players who play in the league match play in the Alpha team to defeat the strong Blue Star team.
Team Alpha wins the match. After that, Shantanu is humiliated by the club players. Ashok Selvan hits the club players for Shantanu.
Ashokselvan, who plays the hero, comes in a moustache-free look. He has acted with great enthusiasm in every scene. He has mastered everything from love and conflict to his previous films. Keerthipandian, who has become a wife in reality, is Ashokselvan’s girlfriend in the film. He has played a responsible role in it.
After that, the rest of the story of the film is how the players of both the teams participated in the competition organized by the club and defeated the club players.
Director Jayakumar has brought before the eyes what kind of ups and downs there are when joining the game of cricket. Ashok Selvan, Shantanu and Prithvi have changed the character and moved the story of the film. Ashok Selvan’s love poem and ladder is a bit of strength for the film. Shantanu’s character is strong. It is strength to change its position and travel in time. Shantanu as Ashokselvan’s antagonist is also perfect. He has correctly expressed the changes that take place when he realizes that the thought of being exalted is nothing.
Prithvi, Lizzy Antony, Kumaravel, Bux are good in their roles and acting.
Cinematographer Tamil.A.Alagan has designed the scenes realizing that not only the characters but also the plot is important.
Keerthy Pandyan is a beauty who has done a lot of love. Divya Duraisamy, paired with Prithvi, charms everyone with her laughter.
Bux’s character is the pillar of the film. Dialogues add strength to the story.
Director Jayakumar can be greatly appreciated for saying strongly that anyone who has talent can come in the cricket match, not just him or him. While Babu’s lines from the cricketer made people laugh, the politics involved made many think and received applause.
With Govind Vasantha’s music, the songs were already super hits, and the background music accompanied the fast-paced screenplay and made it enjoyable.
Cinematographer Tamil A Alaghan has given the entire film a kind of Warm tone and made the film enjoyable.
As the story takes place in the 1990s, art director Jayaraku has a lot of work to do, but he has succeeded in taking the film to that era.
The film has a very compelling and deep concept of the need to remove the differences between the backward and the downtrodden and unite the people with the familiar batting game as the plot.
All in all, Blue Star is a star in Tamil cinema.
