Annapoorani is a film directed by Nilesh Krishna with music by Thaman and starring Nayanthara, Jai, Sathyaraj, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley Achuthakumar, Kumari Sachu, Renuka, Karthik Kumar, Suresh Chakravorty and many more. The movie has Nayanthara playing a character who is a complete family oriented character.
Nayanthara, a girl from a Sriranga Brahmin family, aspired to become a renowned culinary expert in India from an early age. But his father forbids it early on, saying that it will not suit their traditional family. Nayantara, who defies her father's ban and studies culinary arts without his knowledge, faces various hurdles in her ambitious path. More importantly, due to his physical damage, he is no longer able to cook deliciously. Did he recover from that and make it?, or not? That is the story of 'Annapurani'. Nayanthara, who has played the heroine of the story in horror, thriller and action films, has acted as the heroine of the story for the first time in a film with an emotional story. But it is a great pity that her role as Annapoorani did not live up to the title of Lady Superstar. Although Nayanthara has done justice to her role, her role does not make any impact on the audience which is a weakness not only for her but also for the film.
Jai plays a character who begins as Nayanthara's childhood friend and becomes her life partner. Jai does a good job of carrying Nayanthara's character, who stumbles to confess his love even when Nayan is with him, admires her from a distance, gives her courage when she is on edge, and leaves her knowing that she wants to be alone.
Although Sathyaraj's character and his seasoned performance as India's top culinary expert has traveled strongly to the film, in his old "Thakadu Thakadu" style, he makes the audience laugh by saying "Kekku…Kekku…" in this film as well.
Achyut Kumar, who plays the role of Nayanthara's father, has acted naturally without being indifferent.
KS Ravikumar plays a character who says that the best charity is Annadanam. He has done it very well.
Karthi Kumar, who has done his job flawlessly, has portrayed the villain very well and intimidated Satyaraj himself in the villainy.
Redin Kingsley is giving laughs to the fans even though he is in many places. Suresh Chakraborty, Renuka, Kumari Sachi who have played other roles have been used for the flow of the story.
Sathyan Sur's cinematography has traveled the field accordingly. Even though Nayanthara seems to be wearing a lot of makeup to hide her age, he manages it very well.
All the songs are sweet in the music of Taman.S. The song "Ilugai Wella pogiral" makes you listen again and again. The background music has traveled strongly to the film.

Director Nilesh Krishna, who has directed a very simple screenplay for a simple plot, even the scenes are designed very simply, which makes the film weak. Keeping fans guessing about all the twists and turns in the film makes fans forget that it is a Nayanthara film.
