Every music director has a trade mark , Music Director John peter has been carving a place for himself in the film industry by composing music for films that speaks loud on the cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu.The titles of the films he had worked speaks volume on his nativity skills. Madhurai sambavam, Bodinaicanoor Ganesan,Sogusu perunthu, Kanniyum kalayum semma kathal, followed by ‘Jigina’ directed By Nandha periyasamy . ‘ He has got a natural ability to under stand and deliver whatever the director seeks and he is an absolute delight to work with… it is indeed a pride working with him ‘ says Director Nandha Periyasamy on John Peter.
John Peter who had composed more than 500 jingles inclusive for many national brands , and a student of Trinity college of Music, London says with pride ‘ Every day is a new day for me in the recording studio. I dream music , breath music and visualize magic. It is only coincidental that i had been composing many movies of Nativity flavor. ஒவ்வொரு இசை அமைப்பாளருக்கும் தனி திறன் உண்டு.’ஜிகினா’ படத்தின் இசை அமைப்பாளர் ஜான் பீட்டர் தனக்கென ஒரு இடத்தை தமிழ் நாட்டின் கலாசார இசையை பதிவு செய்வதன் மூலம் பிடித்து உள்ளார்.அவர் பணியாற்றிய படங்கள் அவரது தென் தமிழ் நாட்டின் கலாசார புலமையை பறை சாற்றுகிறது. மதுரை சம்பவம், போடி நாயக்கனூர் கணேசன், சொகுசு பேருந்து, கன்னியும் காளையும் செம்ம காதல், தற்போது நந்தா பெரியசாமி இயக்கத்தில் ‘ ஜிகினா’ என மின்னுகிறார் ஜான் பீட்டர். ‘ அவருக்கு இயற்கையாகவே ஒரு இயக்குனரின் உணர்வையும் எதிர்பார்ப்பையும் பூர்த்தி செய்யும் மன நிலை இருக்கிறது , அவருடன் பணி புரிவது ஒரு சீரிய அனுபவம் ‘ என்று கூறுகிறார் ‘ஜிகினா’ இயக்குனர் நந்தா பெரியசாமி.
500க்கும் மேற்பட்ட விளம்பர பாடல்களுக்கு இசை அமைத்து உள்ள ஜான் பீட்டர் , லண்டனில் உள்ள ட்ரினிட்டி இசை கல்லூரியில் பயின்றவர் என்பது குறிப்பிட தக்கது.’ எனக்கு என்னுடைய இசை பதிவு அறையில் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் , புதிய நாளே.நான் எந்நேரமும் இசையை பற்றி மட்டுமே சிந்திப்பவன். நான் பெரும்பாலும் தென் தமிழ் நாட்டின் கலாச்சாரத்தை பற்றி இசை அமைத்தாலும் , என்னுடைய பலமும் ஆர்வமும் வித்தியாசமான இசை மீது தான்.பல்வேறு இயக்குனர்களிடம் பணியாற்றி என்னுடைய இசை திறமையை வெளி காட்ட வேண்டும் என்பதே என்னுடைய கனவாகும். தென்னகத்தின் இசை குயில் எஸ்.ஜானகி அவர்களுடன் ‘பூம் பூம்’ படத்துக்காக பணியாற்றியது என்னால் மறக்கவே முடியாது என்று நெகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூறினார் ஜான் பீட்டர்.
