IPL Star Samir Kochhar makes his Kollywood debut
His name is synonymous with “Indian Premier League (IPL)” for almost a decade. Having hosted various shows during the popular cricket league, Samir Kochhar has certainly carved a niche for himself as one of the most talented and entertaining hosts of the small screen. With a rich baritone and a suave personality, Samir has become a household name and he is highly recognised and admired by the television audience.
Samir begin his career through Doordarshan’s AIDS awareness programme called “Haath Se Haath Milaa”. Besides hosting cricket-based shows, Samir is also an actor of repute, and has been part of popular web series including ALT Balaji’s “The Test Case” and “Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat” and also Netflix’s “Sacred Games” alongside Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Samir has also been part of several blockbusters including “Jannat” and “Housefull 3”.
Besides Bollywood and television medium, Samir Kochhar is making his Kollywood debut through Tamil film “Adho Andha Paravai Pola” with Amala Paul produced by “Century International Films”. He accepted this offer by hearing the story & the importance of his character. He is surprising the whole crew by his acting. He is also acting in a Bollywood film, “Tumse Pyaar Kitna”, helmed by filmmaker Lalit Mohan.
